The 4 Sknns Story

Q: Are the 4 Sknns still a performing band?

A: No. Hell no! Well, maybe. How much would you pay us?

Q: Is it true that…

A: Yes. It is ALL true. Too true, really. Truly.

Q: How long was Randy Morrow in the band?

A: Randy was around a little longer than Pat, from 1986-1991. He did a great job!

Q: Who all was in the band besides the original lineup and Randy?

A: Let's see…. Barry Wisdom played with the Sknns for about 3 months or so. Too tall and too loud. Great drummer, though. There was a bass player that replaced Richard for a few minutes named Bill somebody. Bill, if you're out there, tell us your last name!

Q: Are the Sknns ever gonna play again?

A: Yes. Sorry…

Q: How many songs did the band know?

A: Enough. Seriously, though, they knew around 300 songs. They're old guys and played most of their repertoire the FIRST time it was out!

Q: I seem to remember the Sknns being rather rude. Am I nuts?

A: Well, you may very well be completely nuts, and thanks for your question. Now fuck you!

Q: Streeter once told me Bob Seger died. Is that true?

A: Nobody knows.

Q: What was Guido's hair in 1985-1986 called?

A: The Rings Of Saturn.

Q: How did Gary remember all the song lyrics if the band knew 2300 songs?

A: He didn't. Listen to the CD—-he sang phonetically!

Q: Why did Pat insist on such a long drum solo in “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida?”

A: There was no “insisting” about it. He was usually abandoned by the other three and had to keep it up until they returned onstage It made for a nice little break for them at his expense, and it was fun to watch Pat sweat it out!

Q: What is everyone doing these days?

A: Who cares? Ok, all right. Let’s see… Pat Tomek is a world renowned numismatist and spends his time traveling the globe in search of really groovy coins.

Gary Charlson teaches women's water polo and synchronized swimming at UMKC in Kansas City.

Richard Streeter paints the Illustrated Lord's Prayer on ties and turtles. His work will be featured at the future George W. Bush museum Of Fine Arts in Crawford, Texas.
